    MVHR is most effective in well-insulated, reasonably airtight homes, as uncontrolled air leakage can reduce the benefits of heat recovery. If your property is particularly draughty, it may be better to improve airtightness first or consider a MEV or PIV system, depending on the building and ventilation requirements.

    Maintenance is minimal but important. Check your filters every 3–6 months and clean or replace them every 12 months.
